About Us
I'm Jordy Wallace. In the early 1990's my father-in-law Glen Funk and his father designed the first commercially viable arched ladder leveler. It was heavy and steel and red! And it worked great. They built and sold hundreds of them. When trying to sell them to a couple of large unionised companies tehy were told that they were to heavy and would put their ladders over the weight limits for their employees.
In 2001 Glen set out to fix every issue that the original design had and succeeded. That totally new design was released in 2003. It solved the weight problem tipping the scales at a feathery light 3.5lbs. It was made from aluminum so it's impervious to the weather that it spends most of it's time in and has a unique locking mechanism that is unaffected by being oily, wet or dry. No matter what it always works.
It sold well but Glen ended up getting seriously ill soon after its release and wasn't able to pursue it's sales.
Sometime after that I came on the scene. I've been selling them occasionally to our long term customers. Most customers buy one every time they get a new ladder. But I haven't pursued it consistently until now.
Now I've got a new shop and new production techniques and I'm excited to bring you the best ladder levelling base there is.
